What's in the kit
Here's everything from my box laid out: the cordless clipper, a row of color-coded guards, left and right ear-taper guards, two combs, scissors, a small cleaning brush, and blade oil. The ten colored guards run from #½ (1/16") up to #8 (1"). The color key on the front of the clipper matches each guard color to its length, so I don't have to remember numbers.
It isn't only for beards. The kit is made for haircuts at home, so the whole family can get a trim without a trip to the barber.
How I use it
- I check the color key on the clipper and pick the guard for the length I want.
- I snap the guard on and trim slowly, going over my beard until it's even.
- When I'm done, I brush off the clippings. The blades come off and rinse under water, and I let them dry fully before putting them back.
It works on the battery, or plugged in while it charges, so I'm never stuck mid-trim.
